At the Sag Harbor Elementary School (SHES), the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is more than just a support group—it’s the bridge that connects parents, teachers, and school administrators, working together to create a nurturing and enriching environment for every student. Here’s how we make a difference:

Supporting Our Students
From ensuring that every child has the supplies they need to making sure no one misses out on pizza day, the SHES PTA is committed to helping all students thrive. We also make sure every student receives a new book at the book fair, fostering a love of reading that lasts a lifetime.

Empowering Our Teachers
Each year, the SHES PTA grants thousands of dollars to our teachers, empowering them to bring their creative ideas to life in the classroom. We also support class parents in organizing fun crafts and activities, making learning even more engaging and enjoyable for our students.

Connecting Our Families
The SHES PTA is dedicated to keeping families informed and involved. We organize events that bring our school community together, creating opportunities for parents, caregivers, and students to connect, share, and support one another in our shared goal of enriching our children's education.

A Sag Harbor Tradition
Every Friday at Morning Program, our school community comes together to sing the Sag Harbor Elementary School song, our beloved tradition that brings us all closer. Here is a recording of the song by Nancy Remkus, the woman extraordinaire who invented the Morning Program. Beware: you will have a smile on your face when it comes on!
